Speaker: Nima Dilmaghani
Topic: 0 to 60 With .NET Regular Expressions in 75 minutes
|
|
|
| event
details agenda |
Regular expressions are a set of extremely powerful tools for manipulating and analyzing text. They are now standard features in a wide range of languages and popular tools, including Perl, Python, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, the .NET framework, PHP, and MySQL. Web servers such as Apache and IIS7 use them for URL rewriting. You can find them in tools and technologies as diverse as grep and egrep to Visual Studio. This talk will get you up and running with the Microsoft .NET flavor of regular expressions. However, since the .NET regular expressions like most regular expression libraries are Perl compatible, the syntax presented will generally work with a wide range of regular expression packages. The talk will be divided into two parts. The first part will be discussing Regular Expressions as a language and their syntax. The second will discuss the practical use of regular expressions in the .NET language using System.Text.RegularExpressions, testing, and other practical considerations. |

Speaker: Amin Emami
Topic: Object-Relational Mapping Tools and Techniques
|
|
| event details agenda |
| Description: |
Storing data in the database, accessing data from the application and using the tabular data is always a challenge in object-oriented application, especially when it comes to larger projects.
Object-relational mapping (ORM) tools and techniques help the developer deal with objects in the applications, instead of working with tabular data directly, using ADO.Net and SQL queries. With ORM tools, concepts such as inheritance, many-to-many relations and .Net data types versus database types become native in your applications.
In this presentation, we will be talking about the benefits of using ORM in .Net projects and experiencing ORM with examples.
