This is a senior level software development position. Under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for the development and implementation of inter-related activities or multiple complex projects and programs. This employee is managed by a senior-level manager or executive.
This role calls for an individual who can demonstrate sound analytical, documentation, and communication skills in addition to being technically smart to gain credibility with customers and stakeholders most of whom are technical professionals. The role warrants the individual to mentor others in his/her team, gain consensus on technical decisions and ensure that appropriate software engineering solutions are deployed.
A sound understanding of distributed systems and software processes is crucial for success in this role. The individual should be able to credibly coordinate technical resources, anticipate bottlenecks, make sound technical decisions, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints to meet aggressive timelines. As part of this task, it is a requirement that this individual is technically knowledgeable with designing and developing Web based and Workflow based systems using ASP.Net, C# and MS SQL Server.
This individual will be looked to for strong leadership within their team and with their business partners. Leadership skills will be demonstrated by the candidate""s ability to work under strict, aggressive timelines, and by her/his willingness to do what it takes to meet a committed deadline.
Essential Job Skills:
Extensive experience with various technologies required for developing web based and workflow based applications including but not limited to: JavaScript, CSS, HTML, AJAX, ASP.Net, C#, SQL, ADO.Net, WebServices, sound OOP understanding, and N-Tier development.
Provide leadership and set a good example for others to follow.
Lead and influence cross-functional teams.
Learn quickly and work in a changing environment and under tight deadlines.
Effectively interpret business requirements to effectively draw out and articulate the business need/problem/opportunity to be addressed. Provide scaled options for implementation based on the business need and technical constraints.
Solve problems creatively by thinking outside the box and applying on-traditional solutions to challenging issues.
Communicate effectively - both verbally and written - to peers and business partners. This includes strong questioning and listening skills, and ability to look beyond obvious answers and understand the impact on other areas.
